As one of many advisors within the STEP community who have completed the two Advanced Certificate courses in family business, I am able to speak to the significant impact these courses have had on my career and personal development. Having worked in the family business sector for over 15 years, it is constantly conveyed to me just how important the sector is to the global economy, driving as it does significant economic and social growth within local, national and international communities. In addition to the significant contribution to gross domestic product and employment, family businesses are the backbone of our communities, fostering social engagement and impact. 

The modern advisor must expand their expertise beyond conventional business advisory services to offer holistic support and cater to the nuanced and deeply personal definitions of success that each family business embodies. This was a core driver in my undertaking the Advanced Certificate courses and, subsequently, leveraging the knowledge I have been able to acquire in my continuous development as an advisor within this market.
